Youth Resource Centre

The Powell River Youth Resource Centre is a safe, positive, caring community centre committed to meeting the changing needs of youth and supporting them to realize their potential through quality social, recreation, creative, educational, and cultural activities, adult mentoring, and access to community services. The Youth Resource Centre is located at 7105 Nootka St. (Around back at Oceanview Education Centre).

What’s on for Youth at the Youth Resource Centre?

YRC Club Drop-In (ages 9-12) –
-YRC Club meet every Thursday from 3:30 – 5pm contact for more information.

TIME IN (ages 8-12) –
-TIME IN group for parents and their children meet on Mondays from 3:15-4:30pm. Drop-in program with childcare is available for siblings.  Please register in advance if childcare is required. Contact for more information.

Blackbird Creates (ages 13-18) –
-Blackbird Creates meets Tuesdays from 4:15-5:45pm starting Nov. 2nd, 2021 contact for more information.

Blackbird Talks (ages 13-18) –
-Blackbird Talks meets Fridays from 4:30-5:30pm starting Nov. 5th, 2021 contact for more information.

Pride Circle YRC (grades 8-12) –
-Pride Circle YRC meet on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30. Open to LGBTQ2+ and allies. Contact for more information.
